Friend




Ya know, it's so much easier to please God than people, huh? I feel like friendship should be a two way street, but then again I wonder if it really is.

In Matt 26 Judas brings the chief scribes and priests to arrest Jesus. When Judas comes up to Jesus, with the purpose of idenitfying him to those who came to arrest him...the very act of betrayal...Jesus greeted him with the words, "Friend, do what you have come for." Jesus still called him "Friend".

Have you ever had someone that you called "friend" betray you? Maybe things were simply not what they appeared to be. It still hurts, but we have to pick up the pieces and remember that to please God is easier than to please people. What would Jesus do? He would call them "friend".
